Leaving Part
One of the major problems with moving is the whole Leaving Part. Yes, it sounds like a great adventure to go to Kenya and to see more of this world. It will be a time of growth for our whole family. Our kids will never forget this trip and all the many new things they experience along the way. We will meet new people and make new friends. But its the Leaving Part that I don't really like. Why does it have to be so painful to leave all the people that we love? At times it feels like my stomach will collapse- it literally hurts when I think about it. And yes, our kids struggle with it too. As a mom I try to smooth over it and at the same time I feel the same way. I try to focus on the good, the adventure, what God has for us out there. But it still doesn't take away the Leaving Part.

I was honored to hear a speaker at CMA. Do you know Bryan Hall? He is a teacher who is a missionary in Africa also. Im pretty sure he said the Rift Valley area. It was really interesting to hear of his daily life and experiences over there. I thought of you and it gave me insight to what is ahead for your family. It gave me some "hands on" feel to being a small part of your mission!
ReplyDeleteBeckeroos,
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you and your exciting new adventure to a new place!! Your dad keeps saying he is wondering where you are, how are you doing, etc. Can't wait to read your blog once you get settled. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers every day.
